Does Safewill offer a General Power of Attorney?

The financial Power of Attorney provided by the Safewill Platform is an Enduring Power of Attorney. This means the power granted under the document continues after you lose decision-making capacity.

There is another type of financial Power of Attorney called a General Power of Attorney. Under this document, you can appoint financial decision-makers to act on your behalf immediately, or on the occurrence of specific events. However, the power granted comes to an end if you lose mental capacity.

A General Power of Attorney is typically used if someone is temporarily unable to make decisions due to ill health or travel.

Safewill does not offer this General Power of Attorney.
