Gifts are possessions or sums of money that can be left to specific people or charities. These gifts are usually given to nominated recipients before your residuary estate is divided amongst the beneficiaries of your estate.
When bequeathing gifts you need to be specific with what you're gifting so that the possession can be easily identified. If your gift is too vague, such as ‘my ring’, it may be hard for your executor to determine the correct item and carry out your wishes.
Our platform doesn't allow you to attach conditions to gifts, therefore, any gifts you specify in your Will will go directly to the stated recipient.
